Air Conditioning Filter Maintenance

Most indoor evaporator unit is fitted with removable filters that trap dust to prevent dirt from clogging the coils of the evaporator. These filters are easily removed and washed with water and neutral soap to get rid of the dust. Rinse and dry before putting it back to the unit. Do not use gasoline or chemicals to clean the filter.

Do it at least once a month. Some units also come with electrostatic filters that act as a secondary filter system for the evaporator. Change them if they are dirty.

It is important to have your AC system maintained regularly.
